Today’s post is a little different. It is my first information request but I’m hoping it will be beneficial to you.

Those of you who have been following me for a while (thank you!) know that I tend to cover a particular area of teaching GCSE over the course of a week, posting some ideas and videos in relation to that topic. But I don’t want this to be a one way street.

So, are there any particular topics you would like me to cover in terms of some teaching ideas or maybe a short supporting video? I know what this time of year can be like with the pressures of mock marking and so on. I know sometimes it can feel like an impossible job. The reason I set up this blog is because I want to be able to take away some of that pressure, even if it is just a little bit.

If you have a topic you would like me to cover please add it to the comment box and I promise I will do my best to help!

Eduqas unseen poetry would be great. It’s worth the same amount as ACC and BB and gets the least amount of attention.

Often able but nervous students lose marks because they don’t read the question properly. We regularly practice reading past exam questions, highlighting keywords & discussing the required information. Do you have any fun little tips/activities to help?
    Thanks

That’s a really good suggestion. Many of my students have struggled with the same and I think that would be something really useful to have a think about. I will certainly pull together ideas and get a post written about this topic. Thanks for the feedback.
